Dec. 11th 2005 - Station 52 responded to a fire alarm at the Perkiomen Valley Middle School West on Rt. 73.
After seeing the sprinklers activated and smelling the odor of something possibly burning
Chief Grunder called in for a 2nd alarm to be safe. After an intense investigation of the
building it was noted to be a sprinkler in the west-end hall that had burst and the odor came
from the oils in the lines. One firefighter from Station 86 was injured and taken by ambulance.
All units involved did a great job of staging and searching.
